Statement of Faith
- Scripture is God-breathed, completely perfect, and true in every way. It is our guide for how to live the Christian life (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
- Creation occurred exactly as the Bible says, by the word of God in six days (Genesis 1:1).
- Adam and Eve sinned by disobeying God's one command and bringing sin into the world, so by nature, all men are sinners (Romans 5:12-14).
- Sin is repulsive to a holy God, so in order to be saved, a blood sacrifice must be made for sin (Romans 3:23-25).
- In His perfect timing, God sent Jesus Christ, His Son, into the world to live a sinless life, die on the cross to atone for the sin of the elect, and rise from the dead, conquering sin and death (Romans 5:6-11, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4).
- Jesus Christ was conceived of a virgin by the divine intervention of the Holy Spirit and is fully God and fully man (Isaiah 7:14, Hebrews 1:2-4).
- Christ's death was the complete and final payment for sin and all who believe are freed from sin and have no condemnation (Romans 8:1, Isaiah 53:5, Colossians 2:13-14).
- After His life on earth, Jesus returned to heaven to sit at the right hand of God. One day He will return to take His chosen people to Himself to live forever with Him in heaven (Hebrews 12:1-2, John 14:2-4, Revelation 22:20).
- Salvation comes by faith alone through grace alone. No one can save themselves. It is the work of God alone. Before salvation, man is dead in sin. Only Christ can save (Ephesians 2:8-9).
- Good works are the outworking of salvation, not any way of gaining salvation, but part of sanctification and growth in Christ (Ephesians 2:10).
- All growth in Christ and service for Him is by His grace alone for His glory alone (Colossians 3:17, 1 Corinthians 15:10, Ephesians 3:20-21).
